Mr Atkinson has 30 years experience in construction.  For 18 years Mr Atkinson practised successfully as a chartered civil engineer in design, procurement and construction of major projects as diverse as roads, tunnels, bridges, marine works, ports, buildings and different types of plants, both internationally and in UK and is given in summary in his Professional CV.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

He has experience in settling disputes on a wide range of international projects in mediation, adjudication and arbitration which is given in summary in his Dispute Resolution CV.  Mr Atkinson is an adjudicator panel member of ICE and CIArb, a CEDR Registered Mediator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has a Diploma in International Arbitration having won the Cedric Barclay Prize.
