Daniel Atkinson has administered a number of contracts whilst practising
as a Chartered Engineer and was head of the Contracts Department of a large
firm of consulting engineers. He has advised the Engineer, Architect
or Project Manager on numerous contracts on different forms of
contract. He is author of Administration of Claims part of the
Construction Law Handbook published by Thomas Telford.
Daniel Atkinson has provided advice and opinions to Employers,
Contractors and SubContractors on a wide range of projects both in UK and
Internationally. He has been instructed on a number of projects to
provide continuing advice and to review correspondence and to draft critical
notices and to prepare specific claims,
Daniel Atkinson has provided advice on a number of contracts of the allocation of rights and obligations of the parties
identifying the major risks, and has provide advice on the commercial procedures to
be adopted.
Daniel Atkinson has provided assistance on a number of projects
- either acting as a legal adviser or
- acting as lead manager in preparing the claim or
- acting as lead negotiator in the settlement discussions.
